Most travelers headed to Peru know they want to see Machu Picchu. Yet, beyond that, the rest of their time in Peru may be less clear. We can help you fill in the blanks of your itinerary with the many other exciting, lesser-known sites waiting to be discovered!
Upon arriving at Cusco airport you will be welcomed by a local guide who will transfer you to your small, boutique hotel. After resting, your guide will meet you back at your hotel for a walking tour of the city, giving you an overview of beautiful Cusco. Your guide will help you navigate the local markets, lead you through the main square, and take you to the best place for authentic Peruvian Ceviche.
Today you will tour the Sacred Valley’s most impressive sites like Pisac, a picturesque Quechua village, to discover the many native customs and local crafts. While in the Sacred Valley, you will enjoy a delicious and traditional Peruvian lunch before boarding the train to Aguas Calientes, which will be your starting point to Machu Picchu.
It’s finally time to see Machu Picchu! At the Machu Picchu Citadel, your Local Guide will show you around the lost Incan city, giving you unique insight into the history while letting you explore its every corner. Then you can hike up Huayna Picchu for incredible views of the city. After a day of exploring, you will take the train back to Cusco, where private transport will take you back to your hotel for a good night's sleep after an exciting day.
