Born and raised in Lima, I moved to Germany to study business and marketing. Following the traditional business path, I began working in sales and marketing at a multinational company, but realized that going to work every day felt more like a chore. I decided it was time I pursued my two passions: entrepreneurship and travel. I started my travel company in 2009 and have since loved every day of my job. Having grown up in Peru, I understand the beauty that lives within the land, and I absolutely love showing it to others. On each trip I lead, I get to share my world while also meeting new people and learning new things. I invite you to come to Peru and explore the soul of my country, together.
I love the ocean, and one of my favorite things to do on it is sailing. Since Lima is on the Pacific Ocean, I grew up in a family of sailors and learned how to sail when I was just 8 years old. Ever since, I have competed in sailing competitions around the world and have even won a few. It has been an absolute honor to represent my country in a sport that I love so much.
I think that a road trip is the best way to experience a country, because with every turn is an opportunity for adventure and spontaneity. When I get the opportunity, I would love to road trip across Australia so I could explore the rich landscape to its fullest. From swimming in the Great Barrier Reef to hiking in the Blue Mountains National Park, I can’t wait to see what the country has to offer.
Diego what a top bloke. He was able to answer the questions the four of us asked of him. He stopped and let us take photos of things which were probably everyday to him but unusual to us. For example the loading of the potatoes on to the truck by manual labour, the pile of chillies on the ground near the old farm house, Diego showed genuine interest of were we came from in Australia and made us feel very welcome in Lima....
