My dad is Chilean and my mom is Brazilian, yet I grew up all over South America. As the child of missionaries, I spent much of my childhood living in a motorhome, moving around different countries in the region. Growing up in this unique way, I was lucky to learn about all the interesting cultures in the region, to see the beauty and diversity, to meet interesting people from all walks of life, and, of course, to have many adventures! As an adult, I realized that, for me, the best way to continue to explore new cultures and meet new people would be through tourism. After years of working in Chilean tourism, I decided I wanted to start my own business so that I could really give my clients a more personalized and authentic view of my home country. For me, hosting a tour shouldn’t be a job; it should be like you are caring for a good friend. That’s how I approach every single one of my tours, as if I am showing a friend around my home!
Besides my job, which I can honestly say I truly love, I also love building things. In fact, I even built my own house and my parents’ house, and they haven't fallen down yet! I also love making sculptures using all sorts of materials like wood, stone, and metal.
Because my childhood taught me so much about appreciating different cultures and the world we live in, I would love to recreate this experience for my wife and baby daughter. Someday, I hope I can take my family in a camper, just as my parents did, and we can travel all throughout South America, exploring parts that even I haven’t seen yet!
