Medium content

Get the locals' perspective on what makes Old San Juan so unique on this half-day adventure. Learn about San Juan's enchanting history of pirates by visiting the massive fort built by the Spanish Empire to protect Viejo San Juan. You'll explore what was once considered "The Gateway to the Riches of the New World.” You'll wander through the colossal fort walls that still enclose nearly all of the old colonial city and be amazed by the Spanish fortification that has lasted over 200 years. Your local guide will detail life as a native within the centuries-old walls of this magical city, and tell you all about the most compelling historical insights and legends surrounding the preserved architecture.

You'll also get to explore the alternative bohemian art scene and the thriving coffee culture that flourishes in Viejo San Juan. You'll also sample some of the best coffee in the Caribbean during this walking tour! If you want something a bit more substantial, you'll have the opportunity to try the artisanal, local, and organic Puerto Rican food while bird watching within the historic walls of this mesmerizing colonial gem. In addition, you'll have the option of exploring the scenic and unique "La Perla," a legendary residential favela right by the ocean. The other alternative is a refreshing swim in a lovely secluded beach where the Viejo San Juan locals go to the relax and play.

I graduated with a degree in Jazz Music from Loyola University in New Orleans. After college, I recorded music in Iceland and released some of my albums on iTunes. Soon after, I decided to traveled the world and found my calling as a nature adventure guide while exploring the Amazon. I returned to Puerto Rico to share my newfound passion and newly gained perspective on the world. I love to share my passions with people and taking care of my guests! Come visit and let me show you what I love the most about Puerto Rico.

I have an enthusiasm for sharing the nature’s beauty and Puerto Rico’s unique with groups and families. I’ve had this passion since my senior trip in Summer 2008. With three friends, I decided to hike and camp along the central mountain range of Puerto Rico, trekking through off-the-beaten-path rivers, caves, and mountains. Being immersed in nature was the best part of the trip. It inspired me throughout the years, and led to many more trips back to forests. During a life-changing expedition that lasted three weeks, I developed a new-found appreciation and better understanding of Puerto Rico. More importantly, I was introduced to sustainable agriculture and botanical medicine by local farmers. Let me share my passion and appreciation with you!
