I grew up cattle ranching in Guacimal, just 30 minutes away from Monteverde. When I was 19, I headed to Alberta, Canada to learn English. Afterwards, at 20, I dove into my work as a nature tour guide, growing with the company I worked for, perfecting my English, increasing my knowledge of the world’s flora and fauna, and training other budding guides. Along the way to my current work leading guided tours in Monteverde, I was also able to work in the U.S. in Boulder, Colorado. Not only have I lived in North America, I also have dual citizenship in U.S. and Costa Rica!

Through my experiences, I have developed a deep passion for nature and conservation. Today, I strive to bring all my heart and soul into my tours. I also love to go on off-the-beaten path adventures to give travelers a one-of-a-kind journey.

When I am not guiding, you’ll find me on my farm taking care of the cows, making the farm more sustainable, or spending time with my wonderful wife and 2 lovely daughters. You can often hear me talking excitedly about anything from Costa Rican history to politics to soccer.
