Visit the highlights of eclectic Buenos Aires on this full-day city overview where you will explore the history, architecture, and culture of the city. Local Guides Loli and Mariana, two Buenos Aires natives, will take you through the contrasting parts of the city and teach you everything you need to know. Starting the day in Plaza de Mayo, the main center of the city, you’ll first learn about the city’s rich history and tumultuous politics.
Next, visit the posh neighborhoods of Recoleta and Retiro where you’ll discover why Buenos Aires is called “the Paris of South America”. Learn about the people who shaped the city as you visit the world-renowned Recoleta Cemetery, where Eva Peron is buried, along with many other iconic Argentines.
With stops at other important locations, like the Teatro Colón and the supreme courthouse, Loli and Mariana will also take you to the bohemian and rebellious neighborhood of La Boca, where Tango was born. After seeing the city's past, it’s time to take a glimpse into its future as you walk around Puerto Madero, the city’s glossy financial district.
Finishing the day immersed in Argentine culture, enjoy the tastes of Argentina in San Telmo, a historic district with plenty of art and gastronomy. Along the way to the city’s top destinations, Mariana and Loli invite you to share your interests so they can tailor your route to exactly what you want to see.
This tour is easily accessible to people of all ages and physical abilities; please inform your local guide if you need accommodations.
We are Mariana and Loli, two porteñas, which means we were born and raised in Buenos Aires. Both of us share a love for this city, which is why we are so excited to show travelers around. We don’t like giving just any old tour, though. We want to show visitors beyond what the postcards will show them; we want them to see the real Buenos Aires. As porteñas, we know every corner of the city, including its rich history, architecture, culture, and lifestyle. Through our tours, we hope to unveil forgotten stories, engage in discussions of current events, and even take you to the most off-the-beaten-path attractions of the city, sometimes even forgotten by the locals themselves.
I’ve always had a free spirit and grew up dreaming of seeing the world. Naturally, this itch to travel drew me to the hospitality industry. For over 17 years, I worked in luxury travel, doing everything from teaching ski and snowboarding to managing high-end fly fishing lodges and boutique hotels in Mexico, Patagonia, and Buenos Aires. I even went to culinary school and worked as a Private Chef in Aspen, Colorado and throughout Argentina.
After moving around for so long, I then settled back in Buenos Aires, where I decided to use my passion for the travel industry to create my own tour company. My vision was to create tailor-made and unique tours of the city. Through my tours, I hope people discover the real Buenos Aires, through its lifestyle, food, history, and idiosyncrasies.
I have an undying infatuation with Buenos Aires, and love to explore it as if I myself were a tourist. Every day, I find myself discovering new places to go, from craft cocktail bars to undiscovered porteño artists.
I originally went to school to study advertising and electronic arts, and then worked in community management. The desk life wasn’t quite for me, so I decided to show off my knowledge and love of my city by becoming a guide. On my tours I love showing travelers the real Buenos Aires. Rather than just telling them about it, I like to actually engage in discussions about Argentina’s social issues, current events, politics, economics, and culture. I want to provide travelers with extraordinary experiences that’ll immerse them in this city. Everyone has different passions and interests, which is why I love tailoring your Buenos Aires tour to match your personality!
