Calling all hikers, adventurers, adrenaline junkies, and thrill-seekers! This exciting tour just outside of São Paulo, Brazil combines the fun of hiking with the thrill of scaling cliffs, landing you at the breath-taking top of Baú Stone in the Mantiqueria Mountains! These rock formations are known as “Pedra do Baú” or the Baú Stone; this hiking spot is a favorite for locals because of its interesting jagged shape and the incredible views that it provides.

Rising 350 meters above the ground, you will ascend the rock by "via ferrata" (Italian for iron road), a protected climbing route secured by metal steps bolted into the rock. Hikers from all over Brazil flock to this mountain to experience its beauty. This is a challenging hike, but the incredible view is worth it.

Born and in raised São Paulo, a large metropolis of almost 12 million people, you would think that I didn’t spend much time in nature. But in fact, it was the opposite. This city is filled with incredible green spaces, forests, and wildlife.

As a child, I joined the Boy Scouts and learned all about the wilderness, camping, and gave me a love for adventure. In college, I studied finance and business administration. Through my jobs that followed after graduation, I got the opportunity to travel around North America, Europe, and South America. This instilled a passion for travel that was so strong I decided to switch career paths. I began working in tourism in 2010 because I wanted to help other people have the kinds of meaningful experiences that I had when I traveled. My tours are for an adventurous traveler who is seeking the unconventional. Follow me into the woods to see some spectacular waterfalls, wildlife and majestic views.
