Become an archeologist for the day as you discover the ancient city of Caral, an impressive maze of pyramids and archeology. One of Lima’s best-kept secrets, Caral was once the capital of Norte Chico civilization, known as the first recognized civilization of the Americas. Today, the 5,000 ancient ruins are incredibly preserved, providing visitors with an exceptional perspective of the city during its prime.

With Local Guide Diego, your senior archeologist for the day, you will explore the city’s incredible pyramids and its complex architectural structures that remain. Leading you through the city’s rich culture and structure, Diego will teach you all about the history, stories, and mysteries within. What a wonderful time we had Diego he is a wealth of information. The remoteness and country side you have to go through to get to the Pyramids of Caral, this is also part of the adventure of reaching the destination. Learning of the history of the Pyramids with no crowds and being able to wonder taking in the ore of the area. Our group of four was spellbound by the area as we had never seen anything like this before.

January 24th, 2018 Report ⚐

Born and raised in Lima, I moved to Germany to study business and marketing. Following the traditional business path, I began working in sales and marketing at a multinational company, but realized that going to work every day felt more like a chore. I decided it was time I pursued my two passions: entrepreneurship and travel. I started my travel company in 2009 and have since loved every day of my job. Having grown up in Peru, I understand the beauty that lives within the land, and I absolutely love showing it to others. On each trip I lead, I get to share my world while also meeting new people and learning new things. I invite you to come to Peru and explore the soul of my country, together.
