Description

This tour of Rio Celeste is a tour that you would never see anywhere else in the world except here in Costa Rica. The Rio Celeste, or Light Blue River, is one of the greatest wonders of Costa Rica. It is known for its unique, piercing blue color, created from the volcanic minerals found in the water. Your breath will be taken away as you witness the optical illusion before your eyes as the sun’s rays reach the river. As you trek through the Tenorio Volcano National Park and along this spectacular river, you will also be able to see its waterfall, a viewpoint of the Tenorio Volcano, a sparkling lake, steaming fumaroles, and the junction where the Buena Vista and Quebrada Agria rivers meet. Here, you will experience another beautiful phenomenon, as the spot where the two rivers meet is also where the minerals of the water mix. This tour is definitely a never ending journey of Costa Rica’s natural jewels!

I was born and raised in Costa Rica where I grew up in the rural area of Liberia. I was lucky to have grown up in Liberia, an area known for its vivid culture, zipline tours, and diverse natural wonders that only begin with its beautiful beaches, tropical dry forests, and volcanoes. In addition to the gorgeous environment I grew up in, I also constantly traveled to the far corners of Costa Rica with my family ever since I was a child. All of this has made me into the nature-loving person I am today! I love the outdoors, and even today I live near the Arenal Volcano and Monteverde. I love taking the time to observe nature, whether it is by birdwatching in the day or taking photos of frogs or snakes around my house in the evening. And of course, I love being able to explore nature with my job! My favorite part about being a tour guide is not only being immersed in nature but also being able to have the opportunity to meet new people and understand others’ ways of seeing the world.
