Buenos Aires

High content

Follow a local around her hometown in this detailed and colorful exploration of a vibrant city. Discover the architectural jewels of Buenos Aires outside of published guidebooks and traditional highlights that most tourists miss! In this distinctive walking tour, you will enjoy finding the treasures of a neighborhood that you would never have the opportunity to explore without a local's knowledge. Visit one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world. The bookstore used to be a grand vintage theater and it will take your breath away.

You’ll also gaze up at beautiful architecture as you walk by an impressive Victorian structure, covered in over 300,000 lustrous, multicolored tiles and glazed and enamel bricks. Then, explore more architectural beauty including an Art Deco inspired style shopping mall and various house facades and shops covered in “fileteado” artwork. “Fileteado” uses creative, one-of-a-kind, vividly colored ornaments, and symmetries and is listed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. You can examine this unique and beautiful style of painting associated with the tango that has been a major part of the culture of Buenos Aires since the beginnings of the 20th century.

Don’t miss the opportunity to explore the home base of Carlos Gardel, one of the most famous tango singers in history. Finally, of course, you’ll visit the Carlos Gardel museum, which is built out of his old home. No visit to Buenos Aires would be complete without touring these strikingly beautiful treasures accented with the small shops and street art which makes Buenos Aires so beautiful!

March 3rd, 2019 Report ⚐

I am a Buenos Aires native who loves interacting with people and exploring hidden gems off the beaten path. I love attending to smaller, more intimate tour groups where each tour is tailored to the travelers’ pace and interests. I am flexible, friendly, and love to accommodate to your needs and possible questions. My tours aren’t your typical “hurry-hurry” tour - feel free to take your time and explore! I want to make sure you will receive a truly personal experience with each new location. My tours include city landmarks that deviate from your typical must- see tourist stops, so you will have an authentic local experience.

I am certain that you will enjoy discovering unique places that are not on the touristic circuit or included in any guidebook like the places that the locals enjoy every day. If you seek off the beaten path locations instead of the common tourist attractions, love to listen to stories you might otherwise never have the chance to hear and are looking to experience the real Buenos Aires then join me on one of my tours for a very memorable experience!
