Raised in a traditional Italian-Argentine family, food was always the centerpiece of my upbringing. As a kid, my family would get together every week for a big traditional asado (Argentine barbecue). When I was finally old enough, my father and grandfather would pull me into the kitchen or the yard where we were cooking the meat, and teach me all the traditional techniques. Those days, learning to cook with my family, were some of my happiest memories as a child.

Eventually, I left my small suburb to move to Buenos Aires for university. In the big city, I got to step outside of my Argentine bubble and meet people from all over the world. As I met more and more travelers, I noticed that they struggled to find the best, most authentic restaurants in the city. By only going to the touristy places, they were missing out on a crucial part of the Argentine culture. I realized that the best places were hidden to tourists, and only locals really knew where to go. I wanted to lend a hand and show travelers how amazing Argentine food really was. I decided the best way for me to do this would be to host restaurant tours of the city, and take them to the best, off-the-beaten-path, local spots.

I’ve been taking travelers to the most traditional, hidden spots for over five years now, and it still makes me so happy to share this part of my culture with travelers from all over. My hope is that my guests will return to their countries and spread the word that Argentina has some of the best food in the world! Because, well, it's true.
